Radeon RX 9070 XT Pricing Leak
As reported previously, the Radeon RX 9070 XT is poised to shake up the mid-range gaming GPU market with its impressive performance. Leaked synthetic benchmarks suggest that it will outperform the RTX 4080 Super while being more affordable. The comparison with its main rival, the RTX 5070, is yet to be seen.
A recent leak has hinted at the potential pricing of the RDNA 4 GPU. According to sources from Chiphell, the Radeon RX 9070 XT is expected to be priced between $479 for the AMD reference card and around $549 for an AIB unit. The final price will depend on the specific product chosen. Despite this, the Radeon RX 9070 XT is expected to be cheaper than the RTX 5070, which will start at $549. The Radeon RX 9070 XT will offer 16 GB of VRAM, although it will be using the older GDDR6 specification.
While the RTX GPU is likely to excel in ray tracing performance, the comparison in traditional rasterization performance will be interesting. AMD Radeon's Frank Azor mentioned in a recent interview that the RDNA 4 cards will be priced between $300 and $1,000, aiming for a balance between performance and price similar to the RX 7800 XT and RX 7900 GRE. Only time will tell if AMD's promises hold true.
