3DMark Update Announcement

We're thrilled to share the latest update to 3DMark!

We are pleased to announce that in the most recent update to 3DMark, we have included support for DLSS 4 and DLSS Multi Frame generation in the NVIDIA DLSS feature test. This update and the NVIDIA DLSS feature test were created in collaboration with NVIDIA.

The 3DMark NVIDIA DLSS feature test allows users to compare the performance and image quality enhancements achieved by enabling DLSS processing. If you own a new GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU, you can also compare performance with and without the full capabilities of DLSS 4.

You have the option to run the NVIDIA DLSS feature test using DLSS 4, DLSS 3, or DLSS 2. DLSS 4 introduces the new DLSS Multi Frame Generation feature, and you can select from various image quality modes such as Quality, Balanced, Performance, Ultra Performance, and DLAA. These modes are optimized for different resolutions ranging from Full HD to 8K.

DLSS Multi Frame Generation leverages AI to increase frame rates by generating up to three additional frames per traditionally rendered frame. In the 3DMark NVIDIA DLSS feature test, users with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series GPU can choose between 2x, 3x, and 4x Frame Generation settings.

The NVIDIA DLSS feature test is based on the 3DMark Port Royal ray tracing benchmark and runs in two passes. The first pass measures baseline performance by rendering Port Royal with DLSS disabled. The second pass renders Port Royal at a lower resolution and utilizes DLSS processing to generate frames at the output resolution. The results screen displays the frame rate for each run. For more information on the NVIDIA DLSS feature test, refer to our 3DMark user guide.

DLSS is a proprietary technology from NVIDIA, requiring an NVIDIA graphics card and drivers that support DLSS to run the test. DLSS 4 is compatible with GeForce RTX 50 Series or GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs. DLSS Multi Frame Generation necessitates a GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU and Reflex SDK integration. This update is complimentary for 3DMark owners who purchased the software on or after January 8, 2019.
