Mini PC Market Growth

The market for mini PCs has expanded significantly in recent years, largely due to the impressive performance and efficiency enhancements introduced by major x86 companies. Gigabyte has introduced several such systems, with its latest model featuring an Intel Core Ultra 5 225H CPU paired with up to 96 GB of memory. Currently, there is no specific information available regarding the release date and pricing of the system. However, based on the system specifications and Gigabyte's reputation, it is likely to be priced affordably.

The mini PC, known as the GB-BRU5-225H, is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 225H CPU, which includes four "Lion Cove" cores, eight "Skymont" cores, and two "low power" cores, totaling 14 cores and 14 threads. Measuring 12.6 x 3.4 x 11.9 cm, the mini PC does not support discrete graphics and relies on the integrated Arc 130T iGPU with eight Xe cores. It can accommodate up to 96 GB of DDR5-6400 memory through its dual SO-DIMM slots, making it suitable for most moderately intensive workloads.

The mini PC offers a decent selection of I/O options, including dual USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, dual USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, Thunderbolt 4, 2.5 Gb Ethernet, audio jack, and dual HDMI 2.1 ports. Storage needs are met by the dual M.2 2280 slots, with an additional M.2 2230 slot available for wireless networking. The system also supports VESA mounting for those who prefer that setup.
