Intel CPU Leaks

Today, Friday, February 7, has seen a significant amount of leaks related to Intel CPUs. Golden Pig Upgrade and Jaykihn seem to be competing with each other in uncovering speculative information across desktop and mobile segments. A recent revelation from Jaykihn's social media post gives an early look at upcoming feline-themed next-gen CPUs. Intel's Panther Lake processor family is expected to launch in the latter half of 2025, with it being labeled as their "lead product" on 18A. Previous rumors suggested that the Panther Lake processor family would feature a mix of new "Cougar Cove" P-cores and updated "Skymont" E-cores. Today's leak indicates that there are various core configurations and feature sets in development.

Jaykihn has identified three Panther Lake SKUs, along with a more mainstream lower-end model called Wildcat Lake. These CPUs are expected to support Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and LPDDR5X memory. The highest-end Panther Lake-H (PTL-H) processor is rumored to have a total of sixteen cores, including 4 P-cores, 8 E-Cores, and 4 LP cores. It is said to feature a 12 core Xe3 "Celestial" GPU with LPDDR5X memory support, making it the only one on the list without DDR5 compatibility. The platform is estimated to have a total platform (TOPS) rating of 180. Additionally, a 12-core "Panther Lake-U" (PTL-U) SKU is reported to lack efficiency (E) units. The Wildcat Lake (WCL) model is expected to have a configuration of 2 P-cores, 4 LP cores, and 2 Xe3 cores.

Wccftech has translated Jaykihn's leaked information into a more readable format:

  • Panther Lake-H SKU #1: 4P+8E+4LP+12Xe3 (LPDDR5X & 180 TOPS)
  • Panther Lake-H SKU #2: 4P+8E+4LP+4Xe3 (LPDDR5X/DDR5 & 100 TOPS)
  • Panther Lake-H SKU #3: 4P+0E+4LP+4Xe3 (LPDDR5X/DDR5 & 100 TOPS)
  • Wildcat Lake SKU: 2P+0E+4LP+2Xe3 (LPDDR5X/DDR5, 40 TOPS)
