Recently, undisclosed Intel processor families have surfaced online, with Jaykihn being a key source of speculative mobile SKUs. The latest findings focus on the enterprise market segment, particularly on Team Blue's "Granite Rapids-W" (GNR-W) platform, expected to feature Redwood Cove cores. Reports indicate the upcoming release of "Mainstream" and "Expert" workstation-oriented product tiers, rumored to be compatible with the W890 motherboard chipset. Previous generations of "Xeon W" HEDT processor families have included both entry-level and high-end options.
The leaker suggests that the mainstream Intel Granite Rapids-W "Xeon W" lineup will support 4-channel memory and 80 PCIe Gen 5 Lanes. The higher-end "Expert" tier is projected to offer 128 PCIe Gen 5 lanes and 8-channel memory support. In addition to processor details, Jaykihn also provided insights into the W890 chipset, mentioning that board designs may have access to 24 PCIe Gen 4 lanes and 8 Gen 4 lanes for Intel's proprietary link (DMI) between northbridge and southbridge. However, specific information about upcoming socket types was not disclosed, as Team Blue is known for its complex rollout of multiple LGA platforms.
