Radeon RX 9070 XT 32 GB Variant Rumors

Speculation about a potential 32 GB version of the Radeon RX 9070 XT has been circulating recently. AMD's Frank Azor quickly denied these rumors, but reliable sources suggest otherwise. It appears that a 32 GB variant of the RX 9070 XT, possibly named the RX 9070 XTX, is currently in development. The source, as noted by Wccftech, has a good track record with AMD-related information, lending credibility to the claim.

Unlike previous XTX-class cards from AMD, which focused on higher clock speeds and core counts, the 9070 XTX is expected to have the same core count as the XT model, as the XT already utilizes the full Navi 48 chip - unless there is a higher-end chip in the works.

The 32 GB VRAM capacity suggests that the card may target AI enthusiasts. There is a possibility that the rumored card could be released under a different brand, although this contradicts information from Chiphell. Frank Azor specifically mentioned that a 32 GB "RX 9070 XT" card is not in the plans, but did not rule out a higher-end XTX card, leaving room for speculation.

Benchlife has also reported that AIB partners are working on a 32 GB RDNA 4 card with the Navi 48 GPU, aligning with the information from Chiphell. The RDNA 4 cards are expected to be released soon, but the 32 GB variant may still be further down the line.
