US Retailer Leaks Pricing for AMD Radeon RX 9070-Series Graphics Cards

MicroCenter, a computer hardware retailer in the US, accidentally revealed the pricing for AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 9070-series graphics cards. The leaked information includes pricing for eight different cards from popular brands like ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, PowerColor, Sapphire, and XFX. Although the listings have been taken down, VideoCardz managed to capture a screenshot of the prices.

According to the leaked information, only two out of the eight cards fall below the $700 mark, contradicting AMD's claim that "85% of gamers buy cards below $700." While some prices may be temporary placeholders, it is evident that AMD's partners are aiming for higher prices than the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).

For the RX 9070 cards, ASRock's Radeon RX 9070 CL Triple Fan is priced at $649.99, while the Sapphire Reaper Triple Fan is listed at an unrealistic $1,099.99. Moving on to the RX 9070 XT models, ASRock's RX 9070 XT SL Triple Fan is priced at $699.99, followed by XFX's RX 9070 XT Swift Triple Fan at $729.99. Gigabyte and Sapphire cards are listed at $899.99, with ASUS and PowerColor at $1,049.99 and $1,100.00, respectively.

Although some prices seem inflated and likely to be adjusted, AMD will need to deliver exceptional performance to justify prices exceeding $700 and compete effectively against NVIDIA in the market.
