AMD has officially announced the pricing and release date for its latest Ryzen 9000X3D series processors. The flagship 9950X3D will be priced at around 5599 RMB, while the 9900X3D will be priced at 4599 RMB, as indicated by early listings on Chinese store JD. Both processors are set to be available in retail stores starting on March 12, with review embargoes expected to be lifted the day before, according to reports from VideoCardz.
The Ryzen 9 9950X3D boasts 16 Zen 5 cores with boost frequencies up to 5.7 GHz and operates within a 170 W TDP limit. Its standout feature is the 144 MB of combined cache memory (L2, L3, and stacked 3D V-Cache). On the other hand, the 9900X3D features 12 cores with peak frequencies of 5.5 GHz, 140 MB total cache, and a reduced power consumption of 120 W TDP.
These processors showcase AMD's use of vertical cache stacking technology in its 12+ core Zen 5 configuration, completing the expansion of its desktop portfolio for Q1 2025. The introduction of 3D V-Cache technology is expected to enhance performance in various workloads, particularly in gaming. Official reviews will provide more insights, and we eagerly await confirmation on availability.
