AMD has officially announced the pricing and launch date for its upcoming additions to the Ryzen 9000X3D processor lineup. The current Zen 5 processor lineup features the eight-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D model, which is considered Team Red's gaming champion. AMD's Senior Vice President and General Manager of Computing and Graphics, Jack Huynh, made the announcement via social media, stating that the world's best processor for gaming and content creation will be available starting March 12th. The Ryzen 9 9950X3D will be priced at $699, while the Ryzen 9 9900X3D will be priced at $599. AMD expressed gratitude to its community of gamers, creators, and innovators for their support in shaping the future of gaming and content creation.
The Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D SKUs were first unveiled at CES 2025 in early January. Since then, leaks have confirmed the speculated prices of $699 and $599, as well as the March 12 launch date. Media embargoes are expected to be lifted on March 11, allowing reviews of the finalized silicon to determine how the new processors compare in gaming performance benchmarks against their predecessor. China's JD.com retail platform has already opened pre-orders for a limited quantity of Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D units.
