AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Prototype Leak

AMD has chosen not to release any "Made by AMD" (MBA) reference designs for its latest Radeon RX 9070 XT GPUs, which are based on the RDNA 4 IP. However, leaks from China have revealed what appears to be an MBA Radeon RX 9070 XT design, possibly used as a prototype. While AMD's AIB partners have created custom designs, AMD itself has not made the reference design available to the public. The most recent leak from Chinese forums confirms the existence of this GPU beyond standard press renders and mockups, indicating that it is accessible to someone.

The seller is offering a brand-new reference edition of the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT with a one-year warranty, with the second year requiring self-paid repairs. They have specified no disassembly and no damage to the unit. The standard price is set at 5000 RMB, with a preference for local pickup. For buyers outside the city, shipping via SF Express is available with insurance, requiring a payment of at least 5800 RMB. The physical card matches the previously leaked render with its three-fan design, although there is a noticeable color difference. Instead of the expected gray finish, the actual unit features a complete black design. Currently sealed in an antistatic bag, the card appears unused.

The asking price of approximately $800 may seem high initially, but it aligns with current market rates for custom versions. The listing has already been removed, indicating that someone may have already purchased this rare prototype. With visible serial codes, AMD may be able to trace the person who put it up for sale, which may not bode well for anyone attempting to sell it.
