LattePanda IOTA: High-Performance x86 Single-Board Computer for Embedded Applications
The LattePanda Team has introduced the LattePanda IOTA, a compact x86 single-board computer (SBC) powered by the Intel N150 quad-core processor. Designed for developers and engineers seeking robust performance in a palm-sized form factor, the LattePanda IOTA delivers up to eight times the performance of its predecessor and significantly outpaces the Raspberry Pi 5, offering 2-3x faster CPU speeds and 10-30x improved GPU capabilities.
Advanced Hardware and Flexible Configurations
LattePanda IOTA is available in two configurations: 8 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory, paired with either 64 GB or 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. This combination ensures smooth multitasking and reliable data storage for demanding embedded and edge computing applications. The board maintains full compatibility with the original LattePanda V1 footprint, including identical dimensions, interfaces, and mounting holes, simplifying upgrades and integration into existing projects.
Key hardware features include HDMI 2.1 and eDP display outputs, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, an M.2 expansion slot, and a versatile GPIO header supporting UART, I2C, and USB 2.0. The inclusion of a built-in RP2040 coprocessor further expands the board’s capabilities, enabling real-time control and additional I/O options for complex embedded systems.
Optimized for Edge Computing and Industrial IoT
With its efficient x86 architecture and configurable TDP (6 W–15 W), LattePanda IOTA allows developers to balance performance and power consumption, making it ideal for edge computing, industrial automation, smart instrumentation, and embedded control systems. The board’s long-term supply stability and extensive I/O options support a wide range of professional applications, from prototyping to deployment in mission-critical environments.
Native support for both Windows (10 & 11) and Linux (Ubuntu 22.04 & 24.04) provides flexibility for software development and integration. The expanding ecosystem of add-on modules—including UPS, PoE, M.2 M-Key, and 4G LTE—enhances the board’s versatility for use cases such as logistics, fleet management, remote monitoring, and portable smart devices.
Designed for Portability and Real-Time Intelligence
LattePanda IOTA’s compact size and support for ultra-thin eDP touch displays make it an excellent choice for portable devices, field research kits, and mobile data loggers. The availability of UPS modules ensures reliable operation even in challenging or remote environments.
Leveraging the AI inference capabilities of the Intel N150 platform, LattePanda IOTA is well-suited for local, real-time intelligence applications such as smart access control, telematics, interactive displays, and off-grid monitoring. Its combination of high performance, rich connectivity, and robust reliability positions it as a future-ready solution for embedded and industrial computing.
