Khadas Mind Pro Mini PC Faces Price Hikes and Delays Amid Global Hardware Shortages

Khadas has recently introduced its Mind Pro mini PC, featuring Intel’s latest Panther Lake CPUs, alongside a modular eGPU solution powered by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. However, the ongoing global hardware shortages, largely driven by the surge in demand for AI technologies, have forced Khadas to adjust its pricing strategy and delay certain product variants.

Price Increases Due to Component Shortages

In a recent statement, Khadas addressed the challenges posed by limited PC hardware availability. The company announced a price increase for the Mind Pro series, emphasizing that it has “chosen to keep this price adjustment as minimal as possible” by absorbing part of the additional costs. Specifically, the Khadas Mind Pro equipped with the Intel Core Ultra X7 processor and 64 GB of memory will see its price rise by $300—from the original pre-order price of $1,999 to a new MSRP of $2,299.

Delays and Potential Cancellations for High-End Models

Khadas also revealed delays for the launch of the Intel Core Ultra X9 version with 96 GB of RAM, as well as the Core Ultra X7 model with 32 GB of memory. The company cited a significant increase in the cost of 96 GB DDR5-9600 memory modules as the primary reason for postponing the high-end X9 variant. While Khadas did not specify the exact cause for the delay of the X7 model with 32 GB RAM, it highlighted that the available Core Ultra X7 version offers the best balance between price and performance. This model is expected to be the most popular among customers and allows Khadas to offset some of the increased memory expenses.

Pre-Order Discounts Remain Available

Despite the price adjustments, Khadas is maintaining a $500 discount on the Mind Pro mini PC with the Core Ultra X7 during the pre-order period. This brings the price down to $1,799 until pre-orders close on March 27. The company’s approach reflects an effort to support customers while navigating the challenges of the current hardware supply landscape.
