The DeltaMate GPU Block Astral – ROG 5080 achieves outstanding cooling efficiency through its optimized coolant flow and advanced construction. The water block is composed of two main components: a Core-Coldplate dedicated to the GPU and a VRM/VRAM-Coldplate for memory and voltage regulation modules. These elements are securely joined with an aluminum housing and the signature glass viewing window.
The VRM/VRAM-Coldplate, weighing over 900 grams, is meticulously milled from high-grade copper and precision-blasted for a uniform finish. Contact surfaces for VRAM and VRM undergo additional CNC machining to ensure optimal heat transfer. All copper components are nickel-plated in the final production stage for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance.
The Ultra-High-Performance-Coldplate is separately manufactured, beginning with precision blasting and followed by CNC refinement of the GPU contact surface. With a slot width and fin width of 0.2 mm and a fin height of 2.5 mm, the Core-Coldplate offers a substantial surface area of 13,440 mm². Both coldplates are fully CNC-milled, ensuring superior quality and performance compared to skived alternatives.
