The 14-inch Lemur Pro features a compact chassis measuring 31.2 x 22.3 x 1.7 cm and weighs just 0.998 kg, making it an ideal choice for users seeking portability without sacrificing power. Its display offers a 1920 x 1200 FHD+ resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio, utilizing a matte panel that covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut for accurate color reproduction.
The 16-inch variant steps up with a 2560 x 1600 QHD+ display, housed in a body measuring 35.8 x 25.3 x 1.96 cm and weighing 1.34 kg. Both models use high-quality matte screens, ensuring reduced glare and vibrant visuals, making them suitable for both productivity and creative tasks.
Performance and Hardware Specifications
Under the hood, users can select between two Intel Core Ultra processors. The top-tier option is the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H, a 16-core (4P+8E+4LPE) processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.8 GHz and integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, delivering up to 50 TOPS of AI performance. Alternatively, the Intel Core Ultra 5 325 offers 8 cores (4P+4LPE), a 4.5 GHz boost clock, and 47 TOPS, paired with standard Intel Graphics.
Both Lemur Pro models come equipped with 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 7467 MT/s, ensuring smooth multitasking and responsiveness. Storage is handled by an M.2 PCIe Gen 4 x4 slot, supporting up to 4 TB of high-speed NVMe SSD storage.
Connectivity and Battery Life
Connectivity options are comprehensive, including Thunderbolt 4 with power delivery, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (one Type-C and one Type-A), a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, microSD card reader, HDMI output, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6. Charging is managed via a 65 W USB-C external charger.
One of the standout features of the new Lemur Pro series is its 73 Wh battery, which System76 claims can deliver up to 18 hours of battery life—an improvement over the previous generation’s 14-hour maximum. This extended battery performance makes the Lemur Pro a strong contender for users who need all-day productivity on the go.

System76 continues its commitment to open-source software by offering a choice of Linux-based operating systems, including Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS with the COSMIC desktop environment, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, and the upcoming Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.
Pricing for the new Lemur Pro laptops starts at $1,999. For comparison, the previous-generation Lemur Pro 14-inch model could be configured with up to 56 GB of DDR5 RAM and 8 TB of NVMe storage for $1,699, but it featured a 14th Gen Intel Core Ultra processor and a maximum battery life of 14 hours. The new models offer notable advancements in processing power, display quality, and battery longevity, positioning them as compelling options for Linux users seeking premium ultrabooks.
