Noctua Announces New CPU Coolers for AMD's TR5 and SP6 Sockets
Noctua has unveiled its latest NH-U14S TR5-SP6 and NH-D9 TR5-SP6 4U CPU coolers designed for AMD's TR5 and SP6 sockets. These coolers are compatible with the newly released 7000 series Threadripper HEDT and Threadripper PRO workstation processors, as well as the 8004 series EPYC server CPUs. The NH-U14S TR5-SP6 offers maximum cooling performance with minimal noise, while the NH-D9 TR5-SP6 4U combines efficiency with a compact size for full 4U compatibility.
Noctua has also introduced the NM-TR5-SP6 mounting kit, which allows users to upgrade existing coolers to support the new TR5 and SP6 sockets of TRX50 and WRX90 motherboards. These new coolers are ideal for AMD's TRX50 and WRX90 platforms, offering superior acoustic efficiency for noise-sensitive environments such as audio/video production, content creation, and engineering.
The NH-U14S TR5-SP6 features six heatpipes, a fin surface area of over 6000 cm², and two NF-A15 140 mm fans for quiet cooling efficiency. It is perfect for building high-performance workstations that operate silently. On the other hand, the NH-D9 TR5-SP6 4U is compact enough to fit most 4U size rack-mount enclosures, making it suitable for powerful and quiet server builds.
Both cooler models come with Noctua's NT-H2 thermal paste pre-applied to the heatsink base for easy installation and optimal thermal interface. Additionally, the NM-TR5-SP6 mounting kit allows users to upgrade Noctua's DX-4677, DX-4189, DX-3647, and TR4-SP3 series coolers to the new platforms.
