ASUS Introduces New AMD Radeon Graphics Cards
ASUS has expanded its lineup of AMD Radeon graphics cards with the release of the Radeon RX 7800 XT Dual OC and RX 7700 XT Dual OC. This is an interesting development as the company previously only had TUF Gaming series custom-designs for these GPUs when they were launched in early September 2023. However, ASUS still does not have any ROG Strix series products based on the RX 7800 XT, RX 7700 XT, and the RX 7900 series. The new Dual OC series cards are positioned below the TUF Gaming products and share a common board design for both the RX 7800 XT Dual OC and the RX 7700 XT Dual OC.
The common board for the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT in the Dual OC series is approximately 2 slots thick (or 2.2 slots to be precise). It measures 27.9 cm in length and 13.39 cm in height, which is slightly taller than the standard "full height" size. The cooler of the card features an aluminium fin-stack heatsink that is ventilated by two 100 mm Axial Tech fans supported by dual ball bearings, webbed impellers, and idle fan-stop. The card requires power from two 8-pin PCIe power connectors. When the OC Mode is enabled through software, the RX 7800 XT Dual OC offers a Game clock of 2254 MHz and a Boost clock of 2565 MHz (compared to the reference clock speeds of 2124/2430 MHz). On the other hand, the RX 7700 XT Dual OC offers a Game clock of 2239 MHz and a Boost clock of 2599 MHz with its OC Mode enabled (compared to the reference clock speeds of 2171/2544 MHz). The pricing for these cards has not been disclosed by the company.
